The residency programme is managed by Galway Dance Project and supported by the Arts Council of Ireland. The purpose of these residencies is to build and create a supportive framework for dance in the north-west region, through provision of space, a financial stipend and access to practical supports such as production advice, accessing funding streams and mentoring.

Financial Stipend
There is a financial stipend of €1,000 offered (€1000 for 2 weeks)
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for professional or pre professional dance artists, at all stages of their career or practice. We are particularly interested in artists living or working in Galway, Mayo, Roscommon or Donegal or who have a connection to the region. This is an open and flexible award, so we are interested in hearing from a variety of dance artists/practitioners. We are also very interested in hearing from underrepresented groups and minorities.
Why Apply?
As well as space and a financial stipend, artists will be within a supportive framework provided by the partners. We can offer showings of work, workshop facilitation, open rehearsals, assistance with funding applications and networking opportunities for artists.
Equality, Human Rights and Diversity
The partners welcome applications from underrepresented groups.
We are also aware of the barriers to accepting residency placements for many artists who have other responsibilities, such as caring and/or other employment obligations. To this end, we can offer some of the residencies non-consecutively, and/or over weekends and/or over a longer time period.
To apply-please fill in this expression of interest form by Friday 28th April and send a brief CV to contact@galwaydanceproject.com
