Work in progress sharing Excerpts of CRAWLER

Choreographer & Performer Jessie Thompson

Composer and Perfomer Jason McNamara

Join Galway Dance Project for a sharing of a new work in progress from Jessie Thompson and Jason McNamara. Takes place at the Mick Lally Theatre on Friday 12th May at 6.30pm

This solo dance work by Jessie Thompson is a collaboration with musician Jason McNamara. Their wavering connection narrates the performance – marrying Jessie’s experimental movement style, which draws from contemporary, hip hop and house dance, with Jason’s drumkit, synthesizer, and unique selection of instruments.

Jessie reflects on her experiences in Ireland, in Male dominated Dance spaces exploring duality and personal dissonance whilst celebrating the power of raw expression and the unity that encourages.

A journey of chaos, calm, and adrenaline, with improvisation at its core. This work is supported byArts Council of Ireland, Dance Ireland, Dublin Dance Festival, Top 8 Street dance Festival and Galway Dance Project

Admission is free, donation if desired-BOOK HERE
