Meeting The Warrior: Meeting Archetype through Collage & Body with Lindsay Merlihan & Ruth Smith – 29 & 30 March

Lindsay Merlihan and Ruth Smith are delighted to welcome community to the invigorating space of art + psyche, through a new series of arts workshops called Meeting the Others. Each workshop focuses on a specific archetypal field to better understand the way its qualities operate within us and relate to the outer world. The first workshop of the series, Meeting the Warrior, is on March 29th and 30th.

This workshop provides a unique, in-depth method for working with art + psyche through modalities of collage + body. Participants will be led to explore the deep interiority of their psyche as it pertains to Warrior-like qualities.

Through Jungian forms of inquiry & imaginative practices, we ask, how does the Warrior feel within me? What do they look like? How would they like to move? What would they like to tell me? The psyche responds through image (collage) & instinct (body), bringing unconscious content to speak through the arts. These findings contribute to our wider personal myth.

This workshop involves collage-making, intuitive/improvisatory movement, journaling, some yoga asana and nidra, and group work.
