‘Síreacht agus Sult’ Dance Labs with Bernadette Divilly at Galway Dance studio
Galway City based dance artist Bernadette Divilly has been the Arts Council Dance Artist in Residence in Áras Éanna Arts Centre Inis Oírr 2022-2025, in partnership with Galway Dance.
She is an established dance movement artist using socially-engaged practices. Her passion for sharing the dance of life has been nourished through graduate studies in Somatic Psychology, Dance Movement Psychotherapy and Dharma Art. Her interests include peace, pleasure and play with presence.
Bernadette will be refining her dance work Bígí ag Damhsa at Galway Dance studio between 24th February – 21st March. She is inviting the dance community to join her dance labs in the studio. The focus and intent of these labs is ‘Síreacht agus Sult’ (our longings and satisfactions), which is the title of a recent exhibition Bernadette held on Inis Oírr.
She invites you to a ‘meitheal’, a space for community care where meditation movement and imagination are welcomed. Bring your intelligent body mind, a blanket and comfortable clothing for ease in movement.
